ABOUT

Since 2012, the Big XII Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education has existed as a chapter of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE). Its core membership consists of faculty and professional staff who are engaged in the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion at higher education institutions in the Big XII Athletic Conference. The Association serves as a central network and resource that (1) elevates and affirms the significance of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in higher education, (2) facilitates mentorship and professional development for current and aspiring diversity officers and (3) provides a forum for dialogue, shared best practices and cross-institutional collaborations among its core members and others engaged in the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion among members.  The Association welcomes members in higher education institutions from beyond the Big 12 Athletic Conference.

VISION

As a Chapter of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, the Big XII Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education shares its vision “To lead higher education toward inclusive excellence through institutional transformation”(NADOHE).

MISSION

The mission of the Association is to serve as a central network and resource that (1) elevates and affirms the significance of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts on in higher (2) facilitates mentorship and  professional development for current and aspiring diversity officers and (3) provides a forum for dialogue, shared best practices and cross-institutional collaborations among its core members and others engaged in the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion among members.
