Vision and Mission
As a Chapter of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, the Big 12 Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education shares its vision “To lead higher education toward inclusive excellence through institutional transformation” (source).
The mission of the Association is to serve as a central network and resource that (1) elevates and affirms the significance of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts on in higher (2) facilitates mentorship and professional development for current and aspiring diversity officers and (3) provides a forum for dialogue, shared best practices and cross-institutional collaborations among its core members and others engaged in the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion among members.
Information about Membership
The Big 12 Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education is a chapter of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) (source). Its core membership consists of faculty and professional staff that are engaged in the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion work at higher education institutions in the Big 12 Athletic Conference.
The Association welcomes faculty and staff from two-year and four-year institutions of higher education beyond the Big 12 Athletic Conference and meets twice annually at conference sites that rotate among the Big 12 institutions.
